Cloud & Hosting at Scale

500+ websites and applications hosted across my career.

  • Infrastructure foundations. Linux and Windows automation and VMware at NCIRE; Ubuntu servers, WordPress sites, and migrations at Noventum.
  • Managed hosting. Built Materiell's automated hosting platform and led development, testing, deployment, and cloud operations.
  • Data platforms. Established AWS infrastructure and led cloud automation at ROR Partners, supporting pipelines for 90M+ unique customers.
  • Cloud operations. GCP and Kubernetes at Cloudburst, with Terraform and Helm; reduced monthly infrastructure spending by approximately 20%.
  • Simple Jay. Designed, built, and operate my own production hosting platform, including deployment automation, monitoring, patching, and incident response.
Simple Jay

From repeated setup to a reusable hosting platform.

  • The problem. Launching and maintaining websites and applications meant repeating infrastructure and deployment work.
  • My approach. I designed and built a shared platform that brings provisioning, deployment, and ongoing operations into one workflow.
  • The result. I operate it in production for my own sites and applications, including a multiplayer browser game.

BRAIN

One place to oversee projects and AI-assisted work.

  • The problem. Project status, operational tools, and AI sessions were spread across separate workflows.
  • My approach. I built a shared view of the work, with a common action layer for people and agents and human review for sensitive changes.
  • The result. I use it to monitor projects, coordinate AI-assisted tasks, and keep a record of operational actions.

Outside the Terminal

  • Mountains. Southwest Colorado is the reason I live here. AIARE Level 1, Single Pitch Instructor, and Wilderness First Responder certifications.
  • Games. Three.js in the browser, WebSocket servers behind it — lobby-based multiplayer. Fully playable and deployed, secured and hosted on my own platform, and Google SSO.
  • Music. I play, create, and collect instruments. I also build musical software — an offline music library PWA, a drum editor (mini DAW), and composition tools.
